History


The term originated during a live performance by Insane Clown Posse. During the song "The Juggla", Joseph Bruce addressed the audience as Juggalos, and the positive response resulted in Bruce and Joseph Utsler using the word thereafter to refer to themselves and their friends, family, and fans, including other Psychopathic Records artists.^[2] Juggalos have compared themselves to a family.^[3][4] Common characteristics include drinking the inexpensive soft drink Faygo and wearing face paint.^[3] They view the lyrics of Psychopathic Records artists which are often violent in nature, as a catharsis for aggression.^[5][6] Several well known figures have identified as Juggalos. These include actor Kane Hodder,^[7] professional wrestlers Kazushige Nosawa^[8] and Vampiro,^[9] and rappers Chuck D,^[10] Kung Fu Vampire,^[11] MURS,^[12] and Vanilla Ice.^[13]
Insane Clown Posse and Psychopathic Records have stated that there is no true definition of a Juggalo. In a press release from Insane Clown Posse, they say "there are no requirements to being a Juggalo. We don't care if you spend a dime on merch, or if you know the words to every song. If this music touches you, and you get some positive experience from it, we would be honored to have you consider yourself a Juggalo."^[14] In a 2005 interview, Joseph Utsler explained, "you could be a Juggalo and not even listen to ICP. A Juggalo is a frame of mind and what not. And I was a Juggalo before we started with ICP. [...] You don't even have to fuckin' necessarily listen to [Psychopathic Records] to be a Juggalo. Juggalos are Juggalos."^[15]

At first, Estakhr was an Achaemenid city in present-day Fârs Province, Iran. It
gained its importance not only from its close association with
Persepolis, but commanded the western end of an ancient caravan route
that ran from the Indus Valley via Kandahar

while, Abdallah ibn Muawiya (the designated leader of a Kaysanites Shia sub-sect) established himself at Estakhr from
where he ruled for a few years over Fārs and other parts of Persia,
including Ahvaz, Jibal, Isfahan and Kerman from 744 to 748 until fleeing
to Khurasan from the advancing Umayyad forces. After being rebuilt, the
city lost its importance to Shiraz. Today only an archaeological site
remains.

Leslie Gap (Sedlovina Leslie \se-dlo-vi-'na 'les-li\) is an 359m high ice-covered saddle extending 2.7 km in S-N direction between Leslie Hill and Radnevo Peak in northeastern Livingston Island. The saddle separates the glacial catchments of Kaliakra Glacier to the E and Saedinenie Snowfield to the W. It is part of the overland route from Bowles Ridge to Vidin Heights. The S extremity of the saddle features a minor but conspicuous ice-covered knoll of elevation 404 m just N of Leslie Hill. The feature takes its name from the adjacent Leslie Hill and was first trekked by the Bulgarian Lyubomir Ivanov from Camp Academia on 25 December 2004.

was formed in the late 1980s after Mwerinde, a brewer of banana
beer, and Kibweteere, a politician, claimed that they had visions of the Virgin Mary. The five primary leaders were
Joseph Kibweteere, Joseph Kasapurari, John Kamagara, Dominic Kataribabo,
and Credonia Mwerinde. In early 2000, followers of the sect perished in
a devastating fire and a series of poisonings and killings that were
either a cult suicide or an orchestrated mass
murder by sect leaders after their predictions of the apocalypse
failed to pass.^[1]
In their coverage of that event, BBC News
and the New York Times
referred to the Movement as a Doomsday
cult.^[2][3]
