| I beg forgiveness from Surabhi if this is already a thread - but I thought it could be cool to discuss some great cover songs *EDIT*, and some of the not-so-great ones as well. *EDIT* Often, covers aren't as good as the original songs but sometimes they can be - so this is where you can post the ones you like - obviously Zero and Thoughtless are great I'll post some later but I thought I'd start the thread now so you guys can get the ball rolling | |

| No. Zero was NOT great. It wasn't even -acceptable-. Do not go there, Steve. I will cry. :sob: Enjoy the Silence orginally by Depeche Mode covered by LC was okay. |

| No forgiveness needed, Steve. P: ...except for the fact that you mentioned Zero. ._. I completely agree with Lacuna Coil's cover of Depeche Mode's Enjoy the Silence, that was amazing. I also love Sleepthief's cover of Duran Duran's The Chauffeur and Berlin's The Metro. Hmm...what else... adore Amy Lee's Sally's Song, of course, but that's a given. ;D Aaaand The Birthday Massacre cover of Never Wanted to Dance by Mindless Self Indulgence. :B OH and definitely the Nightwish cover of Gary Moore's Over the Hills and Far Away. Why don't we turn this into the best and worst cover songs thread? Seeing as Zero was already mentioned...and it'd make it a lot more interesting. | |

| Good idea to edit the title
I personally thought Zero was pretty great - then again you know the score, Amy could do anything she wants for 3 and half minutes and I'd say it was great lol
here's some covers I like
The Blackouts cover of Limp Bizkits My Generation Numerous fightstar covers (in particular Breaking The Law, originally by Judas Priest and Minerva originally by Deftones) Lostprophets cover of Davidian (originally by Machine Head)
thats all I can think of right now | |

| Yeah, fair enough Steve. It's just I have mad love for TSP so naturally I twitch when I hear the cover. Same with Flyleaf's cover of Smells Like Teen Spirit, and Tarja's Nirvanna cover too. Just no. |

| As much as I love Flyleaf, I'm definitely going to have to agree with Smells Like Teen Spirit. It was just...ick. The same kinda goes for Tarja's cover of Poison...I cringe everytime it plays. ._. OH and The White Stripes cover of Tegan and Sara's Walking With A Ghost...EW. I love the original so much, and they ruined it. D: | |

| Another one that's pretty awful is Angelzoom's cover of Blasphemous Rumours, originally from Depeche Mode. The original is an amazing song, and the cover is just...it's not the worst, but it doesn't fit at all. | |

| At the risk of being pummeled from all sides I quite like FOB's version of Beat It - I listen to it sometimes This is fightstar doing "Waitin' For Superman" (originally by Flaming Lips) Waitin' For SupermanFFAF did a cover of The Boys Are Back In Town which is pretty good as well A Day To Remember - Since You Been Gone, I liked as well To be honest I can't think of any I actually hate - I usually think its pretty brave of bands to do covers and leave themsleves open to be criticised. But I'm sure there are some I don't like just can't thing of any right now | |

| ^ Usually the only covers I dislike with a burning passion are those done for a song that I originally love, because the artist is amazing...and then a different band has to go and ruin it. ._. | |
