Songs About Her Sister (R.I.P.)

Sorry if this has been discussed before:

The songs "Even In Death," and "Like You" are about her sister who died young, yes?

I just think that these are some of the most beautiful Evanescence songs, and I was wondering if anyone on here could tell me more about the history of the songs, if that information is known.

I'm not too sure about what I can say about the history of the songs. Only that Amy has said about Like You

"Like You" is maybe the most intimate song on the record. It was about losing my little sister when I was a child. On the last record, I wrote "Hello" about her. "Like You" is her place on this record.

Thats the way I see it also - Like You and Hello are probably Ev's most sad songs as the content is so personal to Amy. You can hear it her voice when she sings them.

In the Evanescence Reference they mentioned a song called "Catherine", but I think that it has nothing to do with her sister.

Yea I mean that song (Bleed) always confussed me but I always loved it!

Like you is one of my favourite songs from Ev.

I think 'Together Again' is possibly about her sister, it's quite similar to Like You and the concept of being 'together'.....I don't know, I just always took it that way, obviously Amy's never confirmed that, it's just my interpretation

Together Again was inspired by Narnia. There are those brothers and sisters, and how the will be together again (I don't know if you saw the movie).

It didn't end up being on the movie but that's what I heard.. Was together again the song that was going to be on narnia?? Is that why it's inspired by it??

Yeah, I think I saw some article in Wikipedia that there's really a song that's going to be on the movie. But I think it was kinda rejected because it's so dark or something like that. I think I saw it in the wikipedia of Evanescence. Just look for it
