What was the first Ev song you ever heard? Where was you? And what did you think of it?

For me, as for many others, it was Bring Me To Life. I first heard it on the radio (i think) or maybe it was when i watched Daredevil Bloody Hell it's so long ago i can barely remember

My first reaction was WOW! And is still my reaction because it is still an amazing song, not my favourite but not far from the top though. I fell in love with Amy's voice and with the music behind it, they reminded me of Linkin Park in a way. Which i thought was great Not long after that i bought the album, which was rare for me back then because i would normally only buy album if i was sure i would like every single song. But i just knew i was going to love it, and i was right, it still remains the best album i have ever listened to.

The first song I heard was Bring Me To Life as well, but I didn't like it at first!! I just thought it sounded weird

I didn't buy Fallen until I heard Going Under and My Immortal which I thought were awesome

Yeah it was always on the radio - first time I heard it I was at work! And I remember thinking what the hell is this?? I thought it was some sort of rap-rock when I first heard it. I never saw the video though - first video I saw was Going Under and I remember thinking - wow she's beautiful

It was the first video i saw, you got it with the single. She doesn't look that beautiful in that 1 though You can't really see her face. I also liked the male singing in it too, thought it sounded good with a bit of male

I think thats what was weird about it at first - I remember thinking the girl's got an amazing voice but then the chorus came in and it kind of ruined it. But I love it now!!

Bring Me To Life.... I was in school listening to the radio with my friend, and I though...wow!!... that girl has an amazing voice

Well the first i ever "heard" was BMTL...you know...Daredevil! But the first one that I ever "listened" too was either FOI or MI and then, I was hooked! I was on You tube at the time and just stumbled on the songs by accident.

My answer is a very linear one. The first Ev song I ever heard was the first song on Fallen - 'Going Under.' I had heard some good things about a band called Evanescence, so I went down to our local public library (which is very close to my house) and did an author search for CDs under 'Evanescence.' Found one title: Fallen. I don't remember if it was checked in or if I had to put it on reserve, but I took it home and listened to it. About ten seconds into 'Going Under,' I knew this was a good band.

Not long after that, I began doing 'sounds like' searches in various places and eventually found a band from Florida called Lucid Fly, which is probably my favorite band of all right now. Found many others as well over the years, all because of Evanescence.

Anyway, that's my testimony.
